Purposeful Communication Skills


Programs & Services Description
Building Relationship Versatility An interpersonal versatility skills program designed to foster stronger relationships and increased collaboration. Participants learn to better understand differences in others' behavior based and discover ways to increase their versatility by temporarily adapting their behavior to improve communication and reduce conflicts.
Communicating with Purpose Teaches skills that facilitate and promote good communication in business. Participants explore common obstacles to effective business communication and examine a proven model for facilitating it.
Global Effectiveness Helps staff understand the effect of five cross-cultural dimensions of business interaction and learn techniques and skills to improve business communication with other cultures and countries.
Managing Styles in Conflict Teaches various Social Style back-up behaviors, and how to manage tension in the workplace. Participants learn to select and use appropriate strategies for improving interpersonal relationships, team performance, and workplace communication.
Negotiating to Yes Teaches principled negotiation, in which participants focus on the interests (as opposed to the positions) of both themselves and their constituents. The course builds skills in questioning, listening, persuading, strategizing, problem solving, and countering unfair tactics.
UPFRONT: Persuasion Through Presentation Provides participants the ability to construct and deliver persuasive presentations. The course offers a balance between enhancing content development and mastering the delivery techniques necessary to persuade an audience.
Working Styles Provides proven interpersonal versatility skills for identifying the various Social Styles in the workplace, then adapting their own behavior to work more effectively with co-workers.
Impact Evaluation Our Impact Evaluation services are designed to answer a deceptively simple question: Did you get the desired result from your performance improvement efforts? Options include post-course Impact Surveys, which measure behavior and performance changes; Opportunity Reviews that examine employees’ performance changes using a case study approach; and Business Metrics Analysis, a research-based approach that determines the effects of your performance improvement effort on your specific metric of interest (e.g., revenue, quota, productivity). The Effective Project Manager Helps individuals develop their understanding of the two key factors in effective project management—the task and the people components. Participants learn a basic process for leading project teams and increase their skills through interactive activities.
Turning Information into Sales Provides tools that enable participants to add value by presenting high-quality solutions to their stakeholders—solutions that address critical success factors and help stakeholders foresee and deal with potential barriers to change within the organization.

Leading from Within Helps individuals identify their leadership philosophy and beliefs and then recognize the gaps between their beliefs and their actions. The course provides the processes and tools to lead from personal reference points, and develops leadership skills that advance personal capability.
Networking for Success Teaches employees how to build effective business networks. Participants learn how to evaluate the effectiveness of their networking efforts, how to make meaningful contacts, how to enter existing groups, and how to demonstrate their competence and character.
